News from Studio Saxophones – Mornington Lockett stopped off during his tour for a repair to his Mk 6 Tenor, tried a P mauriat tenor and bought one on the spot! Dick Hamer was looking for a back up horn, tried a P mauriat, bought one – and is now using it as his main horn.
The Dave Stapleton Quintet have just completed their new album. Entitled 'The House Always Wins' it's out on the Red Eye Music label on 10 September. And many thanks to the band for braving the first blasts of autumn and giving us a couple of great sets at the Kings Arms at the Abergavennny Food Festival weekend (review from Pete to follow).
