The
Heavy Quartet - Sunday 17 December
(2006)

Heavy Quartet are a
powerhouse of inventiveness and talent. Members and

(trombone), Rob Smith (saxes & clarinets), Neil
Pedder (keyboards & synthesizers), Keyo (guitar),
Steve Roberts (drums), Ashley John Long (bass) through a
succession of changes of direction and mood - and
rewarded the band with one of the most enthusiastic
responses to date. Click here for

The
Tom Williams Band - Wednesday 6 December
(2006)
The Tom Williams Band brought some very familar faces to
BMJ's second event. Tom is well know for his ever-expanding
workshop band, and as one of the founders of the
Torfaen Jazz Society
and the
Pontypool Jazz Festival. Tom (keyboard, vocals),
supported by Brian Williams (bass guitar) Ben Williams
(drums) and Pete Rowles (guitar), gave us two generous
sets of blues and standards. Click here for photos.
